Distinct patterns of below- and aboveground growth phenology and litter carbon inputs along a boreal site type gradient

چکیده
Forest ecosystem productivity is strongly linked to site nutrient availability, which influenced by litter inputs and their decomposition rates. Fine roots mycelia are key contributors in belowground soil carbon (C) accumulation, but studies have seldom reported how C input related types boreal forests. In this study, three mature one young Pinus sylvestris forests along a type gradient southern Finland were chosen for measurements of fine root biomass, longevity, below- aboveground growth phenology annual from tree understorey vegetation. Site distinguished vegetation composition, indicated the fertility. biomass per stand basal area decreased significantly nutrient-poor nutrient-rich sites, sites with longer longevity resulted an equal site. Above- 131–236 70–91 g m−2 year−1, respectively. Aboveground increased fertility, resulting into having decreasing trend 37% 23% total increasing Ectomycorrhizal understory production contributed 8–13% 18–41% production, Contribution was lower than that trees at xeric sub-xeric equaled mesic Our study showed distinct dimensions types. Moreover, we emphasize ectomycorrhizal addition those should always be considered balances reporting conifers.

patterns and variations in native and non-native interlanguage pragmatic rating: effects of rater training, intercultural proficiency, and self-assessment
although there are studies on pragmatic assessment, to date, literature has been almost silent about native and non-native english raters’ criteria for the assessment of efl learners’ pragmatic performance. focusing on this topic, this study pursued four purposes. the first one was to find criteria for rating the speech acts of apology and refusal in l2 by native and non-native english teachers...

The study of plant communities is the best way to learn about vegetation structure and distribution as well as various interactions among the plants in an ecosystem. Elevation factor plays a vital role in plant distribution that ultimately leads to specific phytogeographic regions. This study evaluated the changes in species composition, density, frequency, canopy cover and palatability of spec...
متن کاملLeaf litter decomposition and microarthropod abundance along an altitudinal gradient
Mass loss rates of three types of leaf litter were measured along an altitudinal gradient at the Coweeta Hydrologic Laboratory, Macon County, North Carolina. Litterbags containing air dried litter from Quercus prinus L., Liriodendron tulipifera L., and Rhododendron maximum L. were placed in five plots along the gradient and sampled monthly. Microarthropods were extracted and sorted, and litter ...
